Kate McDonald, shareholder at McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C., recently achieved a successful full-defense verdict on behalf of a top-tier Colorado roofing contractor in a multimillion-dollar construction defect case.

The defendant was contracted to replace the roofs on the 20 buildings at the project, switching from an asphalt-based shingle to metal tile. The plaintiff alleged that the defendant failed to complete the work in accordance with the terms of the contract, which incorporated the current building code and manufacturer installation instructions, resulting in damage to the townhomes. After deliberation, the jury ruled in favor of the defendant on all claims for relief, resulting in no damages being awarded to the plaintiff.

This marks a significant win for Kate and the firm, along with co-counsel Dave McLain and Ricky Nolen of Higgins, Hopkins, McLain & Rosewell, LLC.

Congratulations to Kate and the defense team!
