Jessica C. Stieber is a Shareholder with McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C. and handles a variety of complex civil litigation cases throughout Colorado and Wyoming including construction defect, general liability, professional liability, product liability, mold, fire, and subrogation as well as bond claims, liens, and general commercial matters. She represents a broad array of clients from sophisticated commercial entities to individuals in their first encounter with the legal system – guiding them through trial, arbitration, and appeal. Ms. Stieber also counsels clients on transactional matters and in pre-litigation disputes, using her litigation experience to help them manage and avoid risks which often lead to litigation.
Ms. Stieber has also been recognized by clients and peers for her professionalism and thoughtful approach to cases. She has held an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell since 2014. She has been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers Rising Star List each year from 2010 through 2016, which is limited to 2.5% of the outstanding emerging lawyers in Colorado who are age 40 and under, or have been practicing for less than 10 years. In 2016, Ms. Stieber was honored by Law Week Colorado in its Barrister’s Best Edition as the “People’s Choice Construction Defects Lawyer for Defendants.” For the years 2014 and 2015, Ms. Stieber was also selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Litigation Lawyers in the State of Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado, Wyoming, and Arapahoe County Bar Associations. She has been a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association for 10 years and formerly served on its Board and as the Co-Chair of its Construction Law Committee.
Ms. Stieber received her Juris Doctor in 2006 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. There she served on the Student Bar Association and earned numerous moot court awards, including Outstanding Orator at the 2005 Hoffman Cup. Prior to law school, Ms. Stieber earned a dual Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in Political Science and History and a Master of Public Administration. During that time, she worked in local and state government and as a development professional for non-profit organizations specializing in community leadership and domestic violence prevention and treatment.
Ms. Stieber is also an accomplished martial artist and enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and dogs in the great Colorado outdoors.
