McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C. attorney W. Benjamin King was elected on May 18, 2017, to be the Douglas-Elbert Bar Association (DEBA) Representative to the Metro Volunteer Lawyers (MVL) Board of Governors. This is truly an honor and privilege for Mr. King to further his pro bono activities by continuing a long tradition of volunteerism and public service by lawyers all across Colorado.
MVL is a non-profit pro bono program of the Denver Bar Association, providing civil legal services to those in need. MVL serves people who are living at or below 125% (free legal services) to 150% (low-fee legal services) of federal poverty guidelines. This team of volunteer attorneys helps provide access to justice for the most vulnerable segment of Colorado’s population. MVL also works with the Colorado Bar Association’s Pro Bono Appellate program to assist financially-eligible clients with appellate matters; and, the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations’ Colorado Lawyers for Colorado Veterans programs to assist financially-eligible Veterans who are identified at clinical programs as needing civil legal representation.
McConaughy & Sarkissian is proud to continue its philanthropy and dedicated legal services to Colorado’s underprivileged.
