Sameh Afifi, was born in Egypt and has lived for over 30 years in Colorado. Mr. Afifi is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and focuses his practice on family, construction, and environmental matters.
Mr. Afifi earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, and Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Colorado State University. He clerked at Denver District Court for The Honorable Lisa Arnolds and worked with a private law firm in Denver before joining the team at McConaughy & Sarkissian, PC. Also, Mr. Afifi interned at the Colorado Office of the Attorney General, the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts, a private law firm in Fort Collins, and DU Environmental Clinic.
Prior to starting his legal career, Mr. Afifi worked in academia as a tenured professor, a private consultant for the oil and gas sectors, and as Project Manager and Regional Water Specialist in United Nations Development Programme. When he is not at work, Mr. Afifi spends time traveling with his family to different countries. He enjoys skiing, hiking, and tennis. He speaks English, Arabic, and conversational German
